This must be the most pointless button in Windows Media Player as far as I’m concerned. If I’m already playing a song, which I ‘bought’ legally, why on earth would I want to buy it again??

Health experts are again going on about people drinking too much. They want more advertising to tell people how much alcohol is in their drinks, this will only lead people to drink the lager with the most alcohol in it (although most people know which are the strongest drinks anyway).
If people want to get pissed then they should be allowed to, giving them the information might make the experts feel happier but it won’t change a thing.
Also increasing prices will only lead more people away from pubs and more into buying it from the supermarket, as it has been doing for the past few years already.
Following on from the previous Yogurt of the Week, why not have Pumpkin of the week in celebration of Quatt’s Pumpkin Festival this weekend.

Or perhaps one of these on the Quatt Photo Gallery
The Friday Night Hot Mix by James Zabiela on the essesntial selection was great, and also mixed in bits from the recent Cybermen Dr Who episode.
It starts at 2hrs 28mins or so into the show. Click the listen again link at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/petetong/index.shtml
If you want to download it use this URL with FlashGet: rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/essselection.ra, be quick it’ll only be there until next friday.
I also recomend the FlashGot extension for Firefox to use with FlashGet.
I also recommend my BBC Radio Play Externally Greasemonkey script for Firefox for getting the URLS of bbc radio shows ![]()
The rate is going back down to 2.4% from september!
It seems it wasn’t just word of mouth that made milliondollarhomepage.com so popular, but the use of a $7000/month PR agent. Who know the truth? Who cares?
Well done to alex for, almost, reaching 1,000,000 pixels sold and becoming an American Millionaire. Personally I think it’s all pointless but people will spend money on anything nowadays.
Interesting post about amazon’s price reduction policy. I’ve tried it and it works.
Rpoints : View topic - Amazon’s price reduction refund policy
Incase you can’t view the forum post below, here is the text:
Just a little tip I wanted to share with my fellow VIP’s… if you order from Amazon.co.uk and the item is reduced in price within 30 days of despatch you can get the difference refunded. I think I read it on these very forums a while ago (couldn’t find it again when I searched - so many posts with ‘amazon’ and ‘price’ in etc!), but with Xmas coming this could be very useful as many items bought full price are often reduced shortly after (I seem to remember ordering from their ‘January’ sale on Christmas Eve last year, I must be mad!).
For example, last week I ordered an item and found that yesterday it had been reduced £3.00, so I contacted Amazon and just a few hours later they credited my gift certificate account by £3 Very Happy An easy way to contact them for a refund is to first make sure you are logged in, then click ‘Help’, then ‘Contact Us’ –> ‘Return & Refund Questions’ –> ‘I have a question about returns that’s not listed above’, then select ‘Refund Policy Questions’, click Continue, and it will then show you which items are within the refund window and just click the ‘Add’ button to construct the email and attach a little note asking for a refund for the extra amount you paid, easy as that.
So pretty impressed with Amazon’s customer services, *almost* makes up for their lack of a decent cashback offer to Rpoints, almost… Very Happy
Oh and they’ve extended the 30 day returns period over Xmas - “Items dispatched between November 1, 2005 and December 31, 2005 may be returned until January 31, 2006 for a full refund, subject to the other restrictions of our 30-day returns guarantee”
Hope that helps someone!

Some good info on how to get an xbox 360 from game and not have to pay for the bundled games.
Basically Game sell the x-box premium with say 10 games for around £775. Under their terms and conditions you can return the games in this pack, and as they are all sold to you at full retail price you get a full refund and only pay for the xbox console itself.
