Finished now! The course was three years long - and pretty pointless. Lots of the courses seemed un-necessary and I just learnt stuff I was interested in myself.
Work in the first year involved Java Programming,
XHTML Web Design, a BCS accreditation module,
Computer Architecture, Computer Design, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence.
The second year options have included C and C++; OpenGL graphics with C; Oracle SQL databases; More Java with networking, databases, GUIs.
The third year options are for the first semester:
- Advanced Computer Graphics
- Understanding Programming Languages
- Objects, Components and Patterns
- Advanced Databases
- Software Evolution
The second semester containts:
- Network Security and Applications
- Compilers
- Information Retrieval Hypermedia and the Web
- Distributed Operating Systems
Also, I am also doing my project all year on a Java multi-platform (PC, Solaris, Mobile, Palm, PDA, ???) Calendar system.
I must thank them for helping me through school to obtain 11 GCSES ( 1 A*, 3 A’s, 6 B’s, 1 C ) and 3 A Levels ( 1 B, 2 C’s). I also met
some good friends and some ‘devils’ too.

Computer Workshop during June/July 1999 after i had finished my GCSE’s at
WGS. Work involved designing a local farming website and building computers for people in the local community
